    After long 43 years, Sanko Optical Co. (BD) Ltd. was established on 1992, as an associated company in the Chittagong export processing zone of Plot No: 20, 21 and 22 at Sector No: 6 in Chittagong, Bangladesh. The company presently occupied total 6000 sq. meter. In which 2476 sq. meter for production area. At the beginning, the amount of this registered capital was of us $ 800,000 which now has risen up to us$ 32,00,000. The company started its first production on May 5th, 1992, and made its first export to JAPAN, on June 5th, 1992. Camera, Video Camera, Fax, Photo copy and Security Camera (cctv) lenses etc. are made in this company too. The company exports these lenses to the countries like Japan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore and China.

    January 1990 President of Sanko Optical Co. (BD) Ltd. Visited Bangladesh.
    April 1991 Five Engineers went to JAPAN for Training.
    April 1992 Start of Machinery setting. (In rental building)
    May 1992 Two Engineers went to JAPAN for training.
    May 1992 Started first production. (Total twenty employee)
    June 1992 First export to JAPAN.
    June 1994 Factory expansion
    August 1994 Factory construction started. (Own building)
    March 1995 Machinery setting in new factory building.
    May 1995 Started our production in new factory building. Total 320 employees and total production more than 600000 pcs/month)
    June 1995 Stated export form our new factory building.
    June 1996 Some machine increase in all section
    December 1996 Our production reach in our target point 8000000 pcs./month
    August 1997 Some machine increase in all section
    January 1998 We expansion our factory building (making first floor )
    June 1998 We fulfill 1000000pcs./month lens production
    September 1999 Some machine increase in all section
    May 2000 We introduce "MULTI COATING" machine ( FulL Computerized )
    June 2000 We export Multi Coating lens first time
    September 2000 Our export quantity was 1200000 pcs./month
    July 2001 Multi Coating machine also increase.
    October 2002 Centering and Polishing machine increase
    January 2003 Special Jig for small Lens.
    Feb 2004 Multi Coating M/C increase.
    January 2006 Try for ISO 9001 ( Target December 2006 ).
    August 2007 ISO 9001 Achieved
